The iQoo 8 series is confirmed to launch on August 17, the company has confirmed through Weibo. According to reports, the phone will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ processor and will have multiple cameras at the back. The iQoo 8 will be the successor to the iQoo 7 that was launched in January. Rumors suggest that there could be two models in the iQoo 8 range – iQoo 8 and iQoo 8 Pro. Other leaked specifications of the iQoo 8 could include a 2K AMOLED display with 120Hz variable refresh rate.

Why iQoo 8 will be unique

The model number of iQoo 8 could be V2141A. The 2K AMOLED display is likely to feature a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,440×3,200 pixels resolution. It could feature Samsung’s AMOLED E5 Luminescent LTPO 10-bit screen. It is going to have an adaptive refresh rate between 1Hz and 120Hz. The phone could be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ processor. It is tipped to pack 12GB of RAM with 4GB of expandable memory and offer 256GB of internal storage. The phone is likely to run on Origin OS 1.0 based on Android 11.

The front view of the phone shows a curved edge display, which will have a centrally positioned punch hole cut-out for the front camera. The report reveals that the company calls the display not only the best in the history of iQoo but also the best mobile phone screen in 2021.
